Peer Support Leads

Peer Support Leads at JMF6-Abingdon

We are immensely proud of the Peer Support Lead programme that we run at JMF6-Abingdon. Run as part of the OX14 Partnership, more than 20 of our Year 12 students are given 3 months training in counselling younger students, and then are used by pastoral teams across both school sites to give support and guidance to students who might find talking to an adult difficult. In the past two years of the programme, they have shown incredible maturity, skill and sensitivity in helping young people cope with the increasingly difficult times.
